About Me
Personal Profile
I consider myself a collaborator, not a warden of grammar and style. A manuscript conceals uncut gems, which I unearth and polish so each facet gleams. While my role necessitates amending errors, I also sculpt narratives with the author's voice, the marble.

Each author I've had the privilege of collaborating with has a diverse range of experience, talent, and voice, including the esteemed photographer Ferrell Phelps and rising publisher Darshell McAlpine. My experience spans genres and styles, from memoir and anthology to romance and science fiction. After over a decade of practice, I am advanced in CMOS, proficient in AP, APA, and MLA, and a quick study with any style guide I encounter, as I refine my craft at every opportunity.
But beyond technical expertise, my greatest gift lies in connecting with authors. A writer's imagination births a story's essence, beautifully if not painfully, but the editor shapes that story to resonate with a target audience. My approach intertwines guidance, affirmative criticism, and delicate refinement to amplify the author's unique vision. I don't just edit; I board the writer's ship to traverse the fortunes and hazards of creation, and as second mate to their captain, guide artistry to its final destination.
